The tatting is an homage and a souvenir of the old and smart creations, made by generations of women.
Named tatting, or “frivolité”, it is a very soft lace, cotton or flax thread made: a long tradition of our grandmothers.
They dedicated a lot of time to make those embroideries, and they represented for them a moment for resting or having fun.
Their work was a moment for love and beauty, as well.
The embroidery was made for trousseau or woman’s wears.
We can see them for trimming chairs, settees or lampshades.
